Sage Mountainflower is from Ohkay Owingeh, Taos Pueblo in Northern New Mexico and the Dine’. She started beading again and began sewing when she had her own children, so they could participate in their pueblo activities and at pow wows. Her looks are driven by keeping her artwork alive through her beadwork and pueblo embroidery and by incorporating a contemporary style to be worn outside traditional boundaries. Sage Mountainflower designs are the intersection of health, beauty, and nature. Sage Mountainflower is an emerging designer who illustrates the relationship between the people “entowa” and the natural world.
