ABOUT US
We are more than just a fashion show.
OUR MISSION
The aim for Native Fashion in the City is to root the Native American fashion world firmly in the international fashion scene through events, developmental programs, business opportunities and more.
ABOUT NFITC
We are more than just a fashion show. Native Fashion in the City is a developmental and educational program and annual event which aims to support the next generation of indigenous fashion designers, stylists, models, and photographers by providing a creative professional environment to foster promising fashion talent such as little to no cost business mentoring, educational seminars, webinars, networking opportunities and coaching.
THE BEGINNING
What started as a collaborative partnership between Native Max Magazine and Rocky Mountain Indian Chamber of Commerce in 2013 stemmed into an annual interactive fashion and cultural showcase. Now in its 7th year, NFITC is still planned and produced following the same mission it was founded on.
WHAT WE DO
The aim for NFITC is to root the indigenous fashion world firmly in the international fashion scene, by giving a platform from which talents from across Indian Country will be given an opportunity for exposure for models, fashion designers, hairstylists, makeup artists, wardrobe stylists or photographers.
THE FASHION SHOW
Native Fashion in the City hosts and produces an annual event set in Denver, Colorado which showcases indigenous fashion designers, stylists, models, and photographers from all over the country in one interactive runway show and presented in a city where the Native culture and heritage is still thriving.
